Mylo is a Montreal-based fintech app that rounds up users’ purchases and invests the spare change. We worked with Mylo to help tell their story to media. From announcing their seed funding round, to launching a report on the state of investing and saving in Canada, we connected the Montreal-based startup with national press.
The rapid expansion of the fintech sector in Canada is changing the way that Canadians interact with money. We wanted to ensure that Mylo was positioned at the forefront of this revolution, enabling millennials—and all Canadians—to save and invest in a new and accessible way.
We worked with Mylo to announce their seed funding round, and used the raise as a method of sharing Mylo’s growth story. To further Mylo’s position as a thought leader in the fintech space, we handled the media relations for the release of “The Investing Habits of Canadian Women and Men: A Data Analysis of Mylo Users”, a report that took a deep dive into the saving and investing behaviour of women and men.
The media relations for Mylo resulted in 80+ pieces of unique coverage with an estimated viewership of 2.89M, 6K social shares and a total reach of 3.7M across print and broadcast media. Coverage appeared in publications like Financial Post, Global News, La Presse, Newstalk 1010, BetaKit and the Winnipeg Free Press.
